The calendar may turn its pages fast,
And summer suns may rush into the past,
But in the quiet spaces of my mind,
There is a gentle light that stays behind.
I see it in the morning mist that grows,
And in the softest shade of gray that blows.
A beautiful, enduring, tender spark,
That guides me like a star across the dark.
Time runs its race, the seasons fade and flee,
But love remains locked in eternity.
No distance and no years can break the line—
For you are always, sweet girl, truly mine.
Standing firm against manipulation, media echo chambers, and the politics of destruction. The mission of this blog has always been to stand up for truth, common sense, and intellectual honesty. I do not care about political party labels, and I do not trust anyone—regardless of their affiliation—who uses lies, gaslighting, and personal destruction against those who simply disagree with them.
When a political movement decides that any method is justifiable to achieve its goals, truth is the very first casualty. We see this constantly from radical elements who use media echo chambers, political pressure, and outright gaslighting to herd people into compliance while silencing dissent.
Focusing heavily on liberal overreach and radicalism is a deliberate choice based on current cultural realities:

As writers, we are always looking for new ways to connect with our readers, challenge their minds, and bring a little bit of joy into their daily routines. That is exactly what inspired my newest release, Carrie’s Take Two: A Collection of Forty Riddle Poems!
If you loved my previous work, this new collection takes a playful, creative turn. I have crafted forty unique riddle poems designed to stretch your imagination, spark your curiosity, and keep you guessing until the very last line.
Unlike traditional poetry that simply describes a feeling or a landscape, a riddle poem is an interactive game between the author and the reader. Each poem speaks from the perspective of a mystery object, animal, or concept. It gives you clever clues, subtle hints, and rhythmic verses, daring you to figure out exactly who—or what—is speaking to you!
Putting this collection together has been a labor of love, and I am so thrilled to share that it is officially available for you to add to your bookshelf under my full author name, Carrie K. Hutchens.

Why did God decide to take you so soon?
I miss you, girl…
Remember when you used to ask me to type your papers?
We’d argue and raise our voices
People thought we were ready to kill each other
But we weren’t
Although a couple of times…
Like when I didn’t get any sleep before that long 8 hour class –
I’m not so sure.
I thought I was gonna die before that class ended
and if I did…
I was taking you with me.
You do hear me chuckling, don’t you?
Heaven lets you know how much I love and miss you,
doesn’t it?
You know that bush you planted in my yard?
It’s growing.
I protect it always because it’s special.
It’s special because of you…
You put it there and there it will remain…
growing and thriving and a reminder…
a reminder of you… always you!
I could say so many, many special things about you –
but I know you know…
You know what’s in my heart.
You know all those wondrous memories that I’m left to remember.
I miss you, Shellie!
I’m sure God reminds you of my love and loss.
Happy Heavenly Birthday, Shellie!
May you have a wondrous celebration in Heaven
with all the angels singing just for you!

Lies slither from their lips,
dripping in foul odor of decay.
No shame
Just pride
Pride in spreading deceit
Corruption of the soul
Laughter at the destruction of another
Madness
No regret
Just pride disguised as righteousness
But it’s not
It’s merely lies slithering from their lips
dripping in foul odor of decay.

Strong winds ripped through the night in mourning thought dismissed
as it carried the past into the whirling darkness of once upon a time
A past of dreams crushed and thoughts punishing
So few memories of laughter
Many tears of hopelessness
So much time wasted
So few years left
Is anything to be or is it merely what was?
Life to pass with all hope gone?
Just one day and then the next,
until there is none
and the strong wind goes silent
in a memory once was and never again to be?
Is this the end and a wind once was
Or is it a beginning waiting…
waiting
for the wind of once was
to become the wind that is again?
by Carrie K. Hutchens
Laughter pierced the dark silence of night in a bitter mockery of all that is and has been and will perhaps always be.
There was no joy.
Only devastation.
Just tears of hopelessness caressed by the wonder of why.
No answers replying.
Just the darkness embracing and suffocating.
So many things should have been that weren’t, and would now never be.
Too many wrongful losses with no one to see… no one to care.
The sameness of everyday as if a hopeless day stuttered in repetition, unable to move beyond to a differing existence.
Laughter has stopped.
Quiet echoes.
Silence fills all space once accompanied by the excitement of effort in years long gone.
Today and tomorrow are the ending of a story once begun.
Acknowledgment replaces the dreams.
Acceptance is all that is left as the dreams fade into “once upon a time” to forever never to be.
Oh yes…
The laughter has gone — even the mocking laughter that once filled a night of realization and darkness.
Now a single tear slides down the worn cheek.
It’s all that is left from a story once begun all those years ago.
A story no one will remember after the last chapter is completed.
It will merely be a dusty book somewhere in the lost section of the library of life once was and nothing more.
Just a lost dusty book once touched by tears,
That’s all.

I have often wondered if I am living in a reverse universe. A universe where evil wins and good goes down in flames at almost every turn. A universe where lies are the norm and the truth is challenged and then crushed by the gaslighters, who deem themselves the righteous ones.
It is something I wonder about.
Is there more than one dimension? Am I in another one? Am I happy? Did my life turn out as I had once wished for? Did I travel to all those places I once longed to travel to?
Oh yes, I do wonder.
I’ve seen some undeserving people end up living charmed lives with all their dreams come true, while others – ones who were/are deserving – ended up with one challenge after another and many tears shed.
I wonder why that is.
It is something to think about sometimes, though thinking about it will change nothing. Never has. No reason to believe it ever will.
Wonder is what I do.
If there is another universe and there is a me living there, I hope I am a good person doing good things.
I wonder if I am laughing in delight as I dance to life’s good things?
Maybe someday I will know if there is another universe where good wins and evil loses at every turn. A universe where truth is ultimate, and the righteous truly are.

Until such time as you invite a dangerous murderer, rapist and torturer to live next door and interact with your family – I don’t want to hear your so-called moral outrage. Only then will I take your virtue signaling as anything more than “performance” safely carried out from afar.
It is suggested that some of you screaming to protect criminals from ICE are paid protesters? Outrage for a buck? Do you get paid well for your performance, or is the money just a bonus, and the real motive is to have a chance to harm and destroy?
It’s something I wonder as I watch your out-of-control anger and behavior.
Then we have the mayors and governors that get out there in front of the cameras and act like they are the crusaders for innocent victims, when the opposite is true. Yes, indeed, when they attempt to stop ICE from locating and arresting murderers, rapists, and torturers, they are creating the opportunity for more “innocent” victims. You know… “innocent” people who will then be brutally killed, raped, and/or tortured because the perps were protected by those in control and by the crowds they allow to take over the streets.
Oh, and let’s not forget the celebrities and other rich people, who dare to lecture everyone else, while having bodyguards and security to keep their world safe from the very dangerous people they are suggesting the rest of us should welcome into ours. So brave of you.
If you haven’t noticed, I don’t have much use for virtue signalers, protesters, or government officials seeking to protect the guilty. You’re so willing to sacrifice others and demand that the rest of us willingly accept the dangers you expose us to.
None of you have, nor deserve, my respect and, until such time as you invite the dangerous criminals you so readily defend to live next door to you and interact with your family – I don’t want to hear your virtual signaling. It isn’t worth the breath it blows out on, and definitely a waste of my time and yours.

After protest, agitation and chaos rocked Minneapolis over the weekend, President Donald Trump has offered leaders there an olive branch, and placed the political ball squarely in their court.
Trump’s offer to Mayor Jacob Frey and Gov. Tim Walz began with a very real concession, by replacing Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and gung-ho Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino with the arguably more moderate Border Czar Tom Homan on the ground. The move angered many border hawks in his own party. (Continue Reading)

The FBI under the Biden administration spent two years investigating a Catholic school teacher — and even put her on a terror watchlist — based on an unverified tip that connected her to the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol in 2021, according to a new congressional report.
Christine Crowder wasn’t at the U.S. Capitol when a mob overran the building to prevent the certification of the 2020 election, according to findings released by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. She was, however, in D.C. for a rally for President Donald Trump earlier that day, and the FBI spent 23 months tracking her for it, the report said.
The committee’s chairman, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., called the move an overreach of federal power based on insufficient evidence. (continue reading)

The Democrats and anti-Trump forces seem to be so blinded by their hatred of the president that they have lost their ability to think coherently. What else can one think when reviewing what has been transpiring? It is so obvious. Well, obvious to those of us who are not blinded by either hatred or the wish to destroy Donald Trump simply because he is Trump and perhaps a Republican.
Hillary Clinton was quite excited when she believed a Trump Tower server was communicating with Russia & she let the world know. The question is – how did she know this was being checked into?
There was a transcript of Flynn’s discussion with the Russian ambassador. The question is – how did we find out?
For all the accusations some Democrats have been & continue making, an important factor has gone unnoticed in their little thought processors of incoherence. If there wasn’t any surveillance, how did surveillance gather the above information? (i.e. If one can only get to town by driving and they are in town – it’s a pretty sure bet they drove to town.)
Comey testified that there was no wiretap on Trump. Why didn’t he add that while there was technically no “wiretap” – Trump and/or his team had been included in “incidental collection”, unmasked and the information shared among many? He knew about it, didn’t he? He knew it was shared, didn’t he? So, why did he answer in such a way as to make it look as though Trump was lying or simply ignorant?
Attorney General Sessions was asked a long, rambling question by Sen. Franken. The short of the story – or question – was if Sessions had any contact with the Russians with regard to the campaign. He said he didn’t. However, thereafter, the Democrats accused him of lying because he had two meetings with the Russian ambassador, unrelated to the campaign, that he had failed to mention. Didn’t seem to matter that many in Congress have met with this very same ambassador. Didn’t seem to matter that some even met with Putin. Didn’t seem to matter that the question was in relationship to the campaign – Sessions should have, by their opinion, thought to say, “No, but I did meet with the ambassador in the course of my duties as senator.”
Then Senator Sessions was being questioned about the campaign – not his duties and meetings as a senator. He answered the question asked. His meetings with the ambassador were irrelevant to the issues at hand because they were not related to the campaign. Comey, on the other hand, was being questioned about Trump and/or his team being under surveillance and he knew it. He took advantage of “technical wordage”. He took advantage of Trump using the term “wiretap”, though knowing exactly what was meant and that it was relevant and specific to the question presented. In short, he intentionally misled the committee and the public. This should be of grave concern to each and every one of us. It is to me.
Additionally, why would it take so long to establish there was collusion (or not) between the Trump campaign & Russia, but so quickly be able to establish there was no surveillance on Trump & team? Why haven’t they been able to identify the person responsible for leaking material, but able to say no person was involved in Trump surveillance? Seems the only fast investigations they are able to perform is if it is an attempt to discredit the president and his team. Amazing!
After Senator Nunes gave the press conference and notified the White House of what he had learned, Schiff was upset because Nunes hadn’t shared the info with the committee first. And, now that the White House has been notified, Schiff feels there cannot be a fair hearing? Why? How does Nunes sharing the information affect the hearings? After all, the Democrats have been insisting all along that Trump, as president, could pick up the phone and obtain all this information first hand. What does it matter then that Nunes provided Trump what Trump could freely get on his own?
My personal opinion is that Trump didn’t wish to pick up the phone and ask for the information because, if he did, the Democrats and media would claim it was tainted, manipulated and completely false. Instead, I believe he simply waited for the truth to come out, as he knew it would once people started paying attention to the evidence that was readily available all along.
By whatever term is utilized – Trump and his team were obviously under surveillance. Information was gathered by some means and shared. It really doesn’t matter if it was a physical wiretap such as they had in the 1960’s or information grabbed from the sky. Somebody captured it. Somebody gathered it. Somebody shared it. Somebody leaked it. The latter of which, without question, is illegal.
Schiff & Pals try to make it all important that Trump used the word “wiretap”. When Trump clarifies he was referring to surveillance – they try to say he is walking back his allegation because he has no proof.
Schiff is upset because Senator Nunes was provided info, which he discussed at a Press Conference and then shared with the White House. If it is so important for Nunes to have shared with the committee first, why hasn’t Schiff provided the committee with the absolute proof he claims to have? And if he has absolute proof, why are they wasting time and money on an unnecessary hearing to establish what is in his possession? Might it be because he doesn’t have the proof he claims?
The Democrats seem to want one set of rules for themselves and a set of rules for people that aren’t them. And in recent years, it seems that is exactly how things have played out. Perhaps they have gotten too used to successfully bullying and are unable to comprehend that those days are over. They are making fools of themselves and doing it for all of us to see.
But I digress. (It’s easy to do, when trying to make sense out of the Democrat & media nonsense.)
The Democrats know that Jeff Sessions was asked if there was any Russian involvement in the campaign and that he answered truthfully. They know but it didn’t stop them from trying to create an illusion of dishonesty to bring him down.
Comey intentionally provided a dishonest answer to the committee and to the public. There is no way the Democrats aren’t aware of this fact, yet they are using that dishonest answer to claim Trump is the one being dishonest.
The out-of-control Democrats and media shower us every day with their little saga of incoherence. They speculate and deem it facts. They twist, spin and manipulate information and call it evidence. They tell us there was no surveillance, but surveillance may have picked up Trump & Associates in “incidental collection”. There were leaks of gathered information, but there was no surveillance, so I suppose we are to assume it poofed into someone’s possession as they happened to walk by the poof-receipt desk.
One day of fair reporting only and honest investigation would be a welcomed respite from the saga of incoherence and lock-step mindset of the out-of-control libs, their media buds & the brainwashed that blindly follow them. It might also be the shock moment that opens minds and lets the truth and rational thought back in. The day some Democrats fear most – a day President Trump keeps still another promise and the swamp gets a little less occupied!

“This is not normal.”
Those words from Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., are undeniably true after the arrest of Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan. However, the reason it is not normal is far more debatable. Dugan is accused of becoming a lawbreaker in seeking to obstruct an effort to arrest a man wanted by federal authorities. If true, that is manifestly not “normal.”
As soon as the news of the arrest was reported, Democrats declared another constitutional crisis. Klobuchar added that the arrest “is a drastic move threatening the rule of law” and a “grave step and undermines our system of checks and balances.”
That is a curious claim unless Klobuchar believes that the officers are lying. If not, Klobuchar is suggesting that a judge should not be held accountable for actively shielding a wanted person and facilitating their evasion of law enforcement. (Continue Reading)

The Justice Department charged a former primary opponent of Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., with threatening to send a “Russian-Ukrainian hit squad” to kill his political rival.
William Robert Braddock III, 41, of St. Petersburg, Florida, was charged with threatening to kill his primary opponent in the 2021 election for the 13th Congressional District of Florida, and a private citizen and acquaintance of his opponent, the Justice Department announced Friday. The indictment, unsealed in the Middle District of Florida on Thursday, describes the targeted individuals as only “Victim 1” and “Victim 2.”
On June 8, 2021, prosecutors say Braddock allegedly made several threats to injure and kill his primary opponent during a phone call with the second victim, specifically stating that he would “call up my Russian-Ukrainian hit squad” to make the rival candidate disappear. The DOJ said Braddock left the United States after making the alleged threats and was later found to be residing in the Philippines. (Click to continue reading)

EXCLUSIVE: Former President Trump said New York Judge Juan Merchan “thinks he is above the Supreme Court,” after “prohibiting” him from attending arguments Thursday on presidential immunity, telling Fox News Digital it is “the most important case in many years” before the high court.
The former president and presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee spoke exclusively to Fox News Digital on Wednesday after spending the last two days in a Manhattan courtroom for opening arguments and witness testimony in his unprecedented criminal trial.
Trump had requested to attend arguments at the Supreme Court when it holds oral arguments about the former president’s immunity on Thursday, but Judge Merchan, who is presiding over the trial, rejected that request. (Continue Reading)

The Orthodox rabbi at Columbia University and Barnard College sent a message recommending Jewish students leave campus and go home, as anti-Israel agitators have continued an “encampment” on campus and participants were caught on camera espousing full-on support for terrorism and supporting violence towards Jewish students.
In a WhatsApp message sent to hundreds before the start of Passover, Rabbi Elie Buechler, director of OU-LJIC at Columbia/Barnard, told students to leave “as soon as possible” until the situation improves, noting that “what we are witnessing in and around campus is terrible and tragic.”
“The events of the last few days, especially last night, have made it clear that Columbia University’s Public Safety and the NYPD cannot guarantee Jewish students’ safety in the face of extreme antisemitism and anarchy,” Buechler wrote. “It deeply pains me to say that I would strongly recommend you return home as soon as possible and remain home until the reality in and around campus has dramatically improved.” (Continue reading)

Let’s have some honest talk here.
Would you dare say that all Blacks should be wiped out? If not, why not?
Would you dare say that all Muslims should be wiped out? If not, why not?
Would you dare say that all Mexicans and others of Spanish speaking countries should be wiped out? If not, why not?
Then why do you think it is okay to call for all Jews to be wiped out?
Explain.
Give justification.
You can’t. You honestly can’t.
Hamas is not a race. It’s a group of people just as the KKK is not a
race. And, it looks to me as though if so-called pro-Palestinians were
actually for the Palestinians – they would be against Hamas, a group
that brings them harm.
Hamas attacked and brutally killed babies and children, not to mention
all the other horrendous acts they are reportedly responsible for. They
brought destruction and death in Gaza. Yet, some blame Jews and
Israel? Get real. Use your brains and stop falling for the propaganda
play book material of terrorist and gaslighters.
If…and let’s say “if” … Israel had mistreated anyone in Gaza and
Hamas fought back against the troops – that might be one thing. Going
after civilians, especially babies and children, has absolutely no
justification.
So, tell me again, just how you can support a GROUP that attacks,
tortures, rapes and kills, such as Hamas is reported to have done?
Should Hamas decide you and yours should be wiped out because you aren’t
Palestinians or didn’t support them enough or for some other reason –
would you be okay with that? Would it be okay? If not, why not?
You’re supporting them doing it to others. Why wouldn’t it be just as
okay for them to do it to you?
People need to take back their brains and learn to think rationally again.
What is right for one is right for all. What is wrong for one is wrong
for all.
In short, it would OBVIOUSLY be wrong to wipe out all Blacks, Muslims,
Mexicans etc. It is just as wrong to wipe out Israel and all Jews. If
you can’t comprehend that little bit of reality, YOU PEOPLE, need to get
you some de-indoctrination before “Animal Farm” is a story about you and
yours.
Think about it. Think about it with your own brains – not the one
filled with the wrongful and hateful propaganda. You might be surprised
what conclusions you come to. You might even, as already suggested, avoid being represented in the “Animal Farm” scenario. It’s up to you.
As the carnage in the Middle East persists, an America’s New Majority Project poll recently found that more than 75 percent of Americans are closely following the news about the Israel-Hamas war in the Middle East.
While a majority of voters agree that Israel must do what is necessary to destroy Hamas, and that Hamas is responsible for Palestinian civilian casualties, the outlandish defense of Hamas’s atrocities across the United States– particularly on university campuses – raises great concern.
American universities ought to be centers where ideas, debates, and opinions are freely exchanged, but many, instead, have fostered hateful, antisemitic ideology among the student population. A recent Harvard CAPS/Harris poll found that 48 percent of voters between 18-24 support Hamas in the current conflict. (Continue Reading)
